Rajesh Kumaraswami

Dr. Kumar is Assistant professor of Clinical Anesthesiology at Bridgeport hospital, YNHS. He received his medical degree in India in 1996/97 and moved to the United States in 1998.

He completed his General Surgery internship in Washington DC and completed Anesthesiology residency at Saint Louis University Hospitals in the year 2004.

From 2004 to 2009, Dr. Kumar was in private practice with spectrum medical group in Maine and pioneered the development of regional anesthesia program at its facility. In 2009 Dr Kumar joined Bridgeport anesthesia associates (a private practice group at Bridgeport hospital) and has been involved with ERAS program initiatives and development of regional anesthesia program at BH. He has also been involved with private practice business in the capacity of president of the group and treasurer as well. He has been actively involved in teaching of anesthesia in the operating room settings as well.

Recently Dr. Kumar has joined a Yale faculty at Bridgeport hospital in the capacity of Assistant professor.

Away from work he loves to read books and play tennis.
