Biography

Dr. Ashwin Vaidyanathan is an assistant professor of anesthesiology in the Division of Pain at Yale University. As an attending anesthesiologist and interventional pain physician at Yale New Haven Health, Dr. Vaidyanathan specializes in acute pain management in the perioperative period as well as chronic pain management. His interests include neuromodulation and interventional cancer pain management. After graduating from medical school at Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences in Bangalore, India among the top in his class, Dr. Vaidyanathan trained in anesthesiology and critical care at the prestigious Bangalore Medical College. He went on to complete anesthesiology residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit MI as a chief resident. He stayed at Henry Ford Hospital for an interventional pain fellowship and was honored as the fellow of the year. Dr. Vaidyanathan joined the Yale faculty in 2022.
