YNHHS Data Extracts

Research Informatics Office (RIO) Data Extraction from YNHSS Systems

Yale New Haven Health System delivers care to over 4 million patients. Yale’s Research Informatics Office (RIO) provides a data extraction service for researchers looking to isolate and abstract medical data for further data processing or data storage.

Data extracts can be used as a starting point for chart review, feasibility assessments, or more comprehensive observational data analysis and modeling. The RIO data services team can help identify what combination of self-service and fee-for-service options are best for your request.

TIP: Using Self Service tools, like Slicer-Dicer or, for experienced analysts, the OMOP model in the YNHHS High-Performance Computing cluster, to help refine your request can accelerate processing and minimize fee-for-service costs. To get started you will need Researcher Basic Access to Yale New Haven Health Environment.
