Dr. Yihuan Lu, Associate Research Scientist, Yale University PET Center, was presented with the Bruce Hasegawa Young Investigator Medical Imaging Science Award at the Virtual 2020 IEEE Medical Imaging Conference held October 31 through November 7, 2020. This annual award recognizes young investigators with significant and innovative technical contributions to the field of medical imaging science. Yihuan was awarded for contributions to quantitative imaging physics in PET, SPECT, and X-ray tomosynthesis, including motion correction, deep-learning based image synthesis, absolute quantitation technique, image reconstruction, and objective image quality assessment.
