Message from the Associate Dean for Curriculum
Dear Students,
It has been a while since we sent you a curricular update. Many things have happened over the summer and in the fall since our last update. We hope to bring you up to date with some of the curricular changes and new initiatives that have occurred as a result of the 2022 Strategic Plan, student and faculty feedback from prior years and student feedback included in the Independent Student Analysis prepared for our LCME site visit. As many of you know we have also been preparing for our LCME accreditation site visit on October 16th to 18th and as part of that process have been updating policies and procedures that guide our medical education curriculum. Please check out the EPPC corner in this newsletter to be aware of these changes.
Finally, all of you have been asked to complete numerous surveys needed to generate the data to be reviewed by the LCME and many of you have been part of focus groups and committees to help us implement changes and to prepare for our LCME accreditation site visit. We are grateful for all of your help in this process.
