Areeka Memon is originally from Northern Virginia. She attended the University of Virginia where she majored in global studies with an emphasis on public health. She subsequently obtained a master’s in public health through the accelerated program at the University of Virginia. Following this, she attended medical school at VCOM-Virginia Tech and subsequently, the University of Connecticut for Internal Medicine residency, where she was in the primary care program. She then started fellowship at Yale rheumatology in 2024. She continues to enjoy many features of rheumatology, but hopes to work with aspects of global health and scleroderma throughout her time in training.
