Rheumatology, Allergy & Immunology Newsletter

May 2023

Welcome from Richard Bucala, MD, PhD

Dear colleagues,

It was wonderful to see many of you at the recent Yale International Rheumatology State of the Art Symposium. Held at Yale’s Greenberg Center, this third annual gathering marked the first time we’ve been able to meet face-to-face (in addition to virtually) at this event, together with faculty and internationally recognized experts from across the country and around the world. Thank you to all who participated—I’m sure our discussions on risk mitigation during this time of increasing therapeutic advances and efficacy will continue. In recent section news, our faculty have developed a rheumatology curriculum in Rwanda, shared their research in San Antonio, won awards, authored papers, and helped to expand Yale’s Cardio-Rheumatology Program, just to name a few of our many accomplishments. I hope you enjoy reading the highlights below.

As we continue our dedication to being foremost in the world in patient care, education, and research, I’d love to hear your news. Please reach out to me at the email below.

Sincerely,

Richard Bucala, MD, PhD
