Application

PCCM fellows enjoy time off between presentations at the ATS international conference.

Applications are invited from physicians who have completed an accredited three-year residency program in internal medicine. Yale University School of Medicine and the Pulmonary and Critical Care Division participates in the Medical Specialties Matching Program of the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP).

Yale PCCM fellows class of 2025-2028

Please note that the three-year Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine (PCCM) program and one-year Critical Care Medicine fellowship are listed separately in the ERAS system. If you are applying for PCCM, make sure to check ‘Pulmonary and Critical Care’. If you have any questions regarding the application process, please contact Susan Porto, our fellowship program coordinator.

In alignment with the Association of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Program Directors (APCCMPD), our national professional society, and to ensure a uniform interview process that is equitable to all applicants, our fellowship interviews for applicants in 2026-2027 will be held exclusively virtually. We may offer in-person site visits to interested PCCM applicants after our rank list has been locked and these visits will have no effect on our ranking or match decisions. The full recommendation is available here.
