Biography
Born and raised in Istanbul, Turkey, Zafer received his M.D. from Istanbul University - Cerrahpasa in 2022. His research currently focuses on the role of different extracellular matrix regulator metalloproteinases role in morphological changes in Adult Polycystic Kidney Disease. Outside of lab, he enjoys playing basketball,tennis and pickleball; taking walks in East Rock Park and exploring different restaurants in New Haven.
