Women’s Health & HIV

Jaimie Meyer, MD, MS, FACP

Yale’s women’s health and HIV research addresses the social and structural factors that impact a woman’s HIV risk. The researchers work to inform, develop, and test HIV prevention methods and treatments specific to women who are involved in criminal justice systems, women with substance use disorders, and women experiencing intimate partner violence.

They aim to create interventions that address social determinants of health and are gender-responsive and trauma-informed by using implementation science to adjust the interventions for criminal justice settings, drug treatment centers, and domestic violence service providers.
