How to apply?

Two doctoral candidates will be accepted each year, over a period of 5 years, into the training program that will involve a hybrid education model with distance-based learning, one semester at Yale University along with additional coursework and research to be conducted in Malaysia. At the end of the training and research, candidates will be poised to apply for a mentored training award to fund their research over the next five years.

What are the entry requirements?

Applicants must have completed a minimum of a Master degree in public health or other related field, be proficient in English and have competitive grades and scores in TOEFL/IELTS. Doctoral candidates will be partnered with both University of Malaya and Yale faculty to conduct implementation science in HIV and will receive a research stipend to complete their Mentored Training Research Project (MTRP). To be admitted into the doctoral program, you must submit your CV, transcripts, 5-page research proposal, TOEFL/IELTS (if required), Malaysia NRIC, two letters of reference, two copies of passport size photos to:
