Research Summary

Dr Assi's scientific research focuses on the understanding of the pathogenesis, genetics, and biomechanics of thoracic aortic disease (aneurysm, dissection, penetrating ulcers). He has a special interest in the understanding and treatment of thoracic aortic disease in women and in patients with genetic conditions. His research laboratory is part of the prestigious Vascular Biology and Therapeutics program at Yale University and is partially supported by NIH funding.
