Physician Biography

I am a board certified pathologist specialized in renal pathology and general surgical pathology. I am the Director of the Renal Pathology and Electron Microscopy laboratory at Yale University. I am an internationally renown expert in diagnostic renal pathology. We review more than 1000 kidney biopsies per year from both adult and pediatric patients. Moreover we assess over 200 kidney transplant biopsies per year. The electron microscopy section of the lab specializes in the ultrastructural diagnosis of ciliary diseases and tumors of unknown origin.

Glomerulonephritis

This image shows a necrotizing lesion in a human glomerulus, which is the main filtration structure in the kidney. These lesions need to be treated promptly or the patient may loose all kidney function.
