Welcome to the Moeckel Lab!
The Moeckel lab at Yale studies the molecular mechanisms of kidney cell regeneration and repair after ischemic/hypoxic and toxic injury. Moreover, the lab is also studying the role of intrinsic progenitor cells in cell injury repair after acute kidney injury (AKI). Another focus is to understand the molecular mechanisms that drive progression of chronic kidney disease after ischemic or toxic AKI.
