Biography

Neha is a 1st year in the Microbiology PhD track of the Combined Program in Biological and Biomedical Sciences (BBS) at Yale University. She has a strong interest in HIV-host interactions and virology in order to develop accessible solutions for the populations most impacted by these health crises.

Neha has a B.S. in Molecular & Cellular Biology (MCB) from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where she was a Stamps Scholar and graduated Summa Cum Laude in May 2023. She was awarded Highest Distinction and Academic Distinction in MCB for her senior thesis on “Structural and biochemical mechanisms of HIV latency reactivation in monocytes, macrophages, and T-cells” in the laboratory of Dr. Collin Kieffer.
