Biography

Timothy Mehrmann is an MD-PhD student from Duxbury, Massachusetts, who graduated from University of Massachusetts Amherst with a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. During his undergraduate studies, he worked in the lab of Dr. Mandy Muller, studying virus-host interactions in the context of Kaposi's Sarcoma Associated Herpesvirus infection. Following graduation, he joined the lab of Dr. Jeff Cohen as an IRTA Post-baccalaureate Fellow at the NIH, leveraging biochemical and structural biology techniques to design vaccines and therapeutics against Epstein Barr Virus infection. His current research interests focus on immunologic responses following vaccination, structural biology, and host-pathogen interactions.
