About

Biography

Allison is an MD-PhD student from Fleetwood, Pennsylvania interested in research at the junction of physics and neuroscience. She graduated with her B.S. from MIT in physics and brain and cognitive sciences in 2024. While at MIT, she worked in the group of Prof. Joern Dunkel constructing physics-informed models of various biological systems, and developing machine learning techniques to aid in the construction of partial differential equation models from experimental data. Her additional research in theoretical quantum and condensed matter physics led her to develop a passion for understanding the underlying mechanics of physical and biological systems. As an MD-PhD candidate at Yale, Allison hopes to study applications of statistical mechanics and biophysics to the behaviors of neuronal populations.
