Perspectives of Women in Science Lecture: Jennifer Heemstra, PhD
Please join us for the seventh annual Perspectives of Women in Science Lecture hosted by the MD-PhD Program and the Office of the Dean of Yale School of Medicine. This event highlights the unique perspectives of women scientists who discuss the personal and professional opportunities and challenges that shaped their paths to a successful research career.
Dr. Jennifer Heemstra is the Chair and Charles Allen Thomas Professor of Chemistry at Washington University in St. Louis. The common thread that is woven throughout the research projects in the Heemstra Lab is the utilization of nucleic acid molecular recognition and self-assembly to generate functional architectures for biosensing and bioimaging.
