Neuroinfectious Disease Research

Our studies involve examination of biological and neurobehavioral measures in people living with HIV and other infections to better understand how viral infection - and associated inflammation and injury - is established in the nervous system, how it responds to antiviral and other treatment interventions, and how persistent infection of the nervous system may be a barrier to viral cure.
