Fuehrlein Appointed Chief Mental Health Consultant at VA Central Office

Brian Fuehrlein, MD, PhD, associate professor of psychiatry, has been appointed chief mental health consultant to the National Emergency Medicine Office for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Central Office.

Fuehrlein’s responsibilities include leading national work streams, attending site visits, reviewing policies, and providing subject matter expertise and consultation for all mental health concerns related to national emergency medicine.

Fuehrlein will continue to work as director of the Psychiatric Emergency Room at the VA Connecticut Healthcare System in West Haven.
