As I look back on last year’s accomplishments, we at Yale Rheumatology, Allergy & Immunology have much to be proud of. What follows are just a few of the many highlights from our section—I could not list them all due to limited space.

• In May, we presented our second annual International State-of-the-Art Symposium, Reactive Arthritis, Post-Infections, Inflammatory Disease, and Lessons for COVID.
• In June, Mei Xue Dong, MD, PhD, was chosen by our graduating fellows as Teacher of the Year.
• In October, Deborah Dyett Desir, MD, was honored with a leadership award from the New Haven County Medical Association. That same month, Betty Hsiao, MD, received Rheumatology Research Foundation’s Innovative Research Grant.
• At the November ACR meeting, Dr. Desir was sworn in as president-elect and Evelyn Hsieh, MD, PhD, chaired the global rheumatology conference. Linda Bockenstedt, MD, and I were recognized by the American College of Rheumatology and the Association of Rheumatology Professionals as 2022 Master of the ACR recipients.
• In December, Joseph Craft, MD, received the 2022 Distinguished Innovator Award from the Lupus Research Alliance.
• Both Lisa Korn, MD, PhD, and Eugenia Chock, MD, MPH, received Yale Physician-Scientist Development awards from the Office of Physician-Scientist and Scientist Development.

At Yale, we have been at the forefront of patient care, education, and research. When you receive your U.S. News & World Report 2023–2024 Best Hospitals ballot, please cast a reputation vote for Yale New Haven Hospital in rheumatology.
