Internal Medicine, Section of Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine Presents: "7th Annual Pulmonary Hypertension Symposium"

This conference is approved for a maximum of 6 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits (TM).

Learning Objectives

This course will enable participants to:

  • Conduct the detailed workup needed to properly classify which form of PH a given patient may have
  • Implement the data supporting the use of the 10 PAH specific therapies currently available
  • Recognize the unique clinical and cardiac features of Systemic Sclerosis Associated Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension
  • Discuss the physiologic stresses of pregnancy that make child delivery a grave risk for pregnant patients with PH
  • Review the treatment approach for patients in the Intensive Care Unit suffering from right heart failure from severe PH
