Infectious Diseases Community Dedicated to Equity and Excellence in Health for All (ID2EA) strives to further Infectious Diseases' commitment to deliver accessible, equitable, and evidence-driven healthcare to all.

Mission

  • Educate Yale Infectious Disease faculty, staff, and trainees within Infectious Disease in best practices associated with accessible and equitable care, leading to positive clinical outcomes to all
  • Hold space to engage in civil discourse that identifies barriers to patient care.
  • Engage and collaborate with our community on ways to improve clinical outcomes and research practices.
  • Create a professional community that celebrates differences and supports each other in carrying out this culture change.

Definitions of terms:

  • Accessible: Healthcare where social determinants do not mitigate quality care
  • Equitable: Care given in a way that leads to effective outcomes for all individuals
  • Evidence-driven: Data-informed practices associated with promotion of health outcomes and reduction of bias
  • Community: All patients and their families, local neighborhood leaders, alongside our ID professionals and trainees who go on to work across the nation
