Congenital Heart Disease Awareness in New Haven and Beyond: An Interview with Juan Castillo of 94.3 WYBC

February 23, 2018

In honor of heart month, Dr. Robert Elder had the chance to speak with Juan Castillo of 94.3 WYBC about congenital heart disease in kids and adults. WYBC is “The Rhythm of the City” of New Haven and a popular FM station in the region and Connecticut.

Congenital heart disease is the most common birth defect, with 1:100 infants born with some form of heart issue. The vast majority of children born with congenital heart disease survive well into adulthood, and it is important for the community to know about specialized programs for adults with congenital heart disease, such as the Yale Adult Congenital Heart Program.

Check out the interview here.

The Yale Adult Congenital Heart Program is part of the Yale New Haven Hospital Heart and Vascular Center.
