Licensure Notice

The Yale School of Medicine Physician Assistant Online Program leads to a Master of Medical Science. The Program is designed to fulfill the academic eligibility requirements to sit for the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE) but there may be additional requirements for licensure which will vary by state.

The table below provides information on whether the Yale Physician Assistant Online Program meets the educational requirements of licensure in each state. The table also provides additional information regarding other state specific licensure requirements.

State Authorization Information

Yale University is authorized to offer the Physician Assistant Online program under the terms of the NC-SARA agreement in every state and the District of Columbia.

Student Complaint Contact Information

Yale University has policies and procedures in place to resolve student grievances. Yale PA Online students are advised to address grievances following the University’s Grievance Procedures

If a Yale PA online student has exhausted all applicable Yale internal grievance or complaint procedures, and the complaint is not resolved, Yale PA online students residing outside Connecticut may choose to send a complaint to Yale University’s NC-SARA portal: the Connecticut Office of Higher Education. As detailed on the Connecticut Office of Higher Education website, this office has limited authority and for example, will not receive complaints involving student grades or student conduct violations.

Yale Online PA students residing in California who wish to file a complaint should direct the complaint to the state agency listed below.
