Research Summary
My main goal is to improve human health through original research, clinical care, and education using a team-oriented multidisciplinary approach. My research focuses on understanding mechanisms of addiction and sleep through novel neuroimaging techniques, clinical trials, and observational studies. I collaborate closely with a variety of experts in different fields: General Medicine, various medical specialties (Addiction, Pulmonary, Critical Care, Sleep, Emergency, and Laboratory Medicine), Psychiatry, Psychology, Biomedical Imaging, Engineering, Chemistry, Law, and Public Health. I seek to build bridges between disciplines to increase the impact of new discoveries.
