Workshop: Inclusive Mentoring

The Kavli Institute for Neuroscience is inviting you to attend a 2-hour in-person workshop focused on inclusive mentoring. From summer students to long-term undergraduates, mentoring is an important lab skill.

We will discuss the pillars of successful mentoring: clear and frequent communication, collaboratively developed goals, and maintaining a sympathetic, open stance towards mentees. We will explore how taking an inclusive mentoring stance helps you to recognize the diverse backgrounds of mentees and to promote a growth mindset for you and your mentee.

Event open to postgraduates, PhD students, and postdocs in the neurosciences.
