Statement in Support of International Scholars

The Department of Cell Biology at Yale University affirms our commitment to our international students and scholars – past, present, and future.

Now, more than ever, the scientific enterprise calls for the free exchange of ideas between colleagues. The Department was founded in the early 1970's by George E. Palade, originally from Romania, and with more than half of our primary faculty born outside of the US, the department continues a long tradition of welcoming faculty, graduate students, postdoctoral associates, fellows, and visiting scholars from many countries.

We affirm our commitment to our international students and scholars and actively embrace the vibrant intellectual and cultural diversity that they inspire.
