Reunion visitors should plan for Downtown Crossing: 100 college street development construction impacts

May 22, 2015

For alumni and friends visiting the School of Medicine, new developments in the construction for New Haven's Downtown Crossing project may affect your regular route to the medical campus.

The Downtown Crossing Project, a major development project to encourage business, retail and housing development, permanently closed the Exit 2 off-rampon Route 34 westbound last year. All traffic now enters downtown New Haven on a repaved Exit 1, widened to three lanes, with a right-hand turn lane onto Orange Street. Signs are posted to help guide you. Please be mindful of pedestrians.

To travel to the Air Rights Garage:
I-95 traveling north or south and I-91 traveling south: Route 34 west to Exit 1. Follow N. Frontage Road and turn left into the Air Rights Garage.
