Alumni Association elects new board members and officers, and approves constitutional changes

June 21, 2017

Richard Kayne, M.D. ’76, president of the Association of Yale Alumni in Medicine (AYAM), announced the results of this spring’s election during the Annual Meeting of the AYAM at Reunion Weekend. The candidates were elected by the School of Medicine alumni community via electronic ballot in May. The ballot also included proposed changes to the AYAM Constitution. Those changes would adjust the term length of the secretary to two years in accordance with the terms of other officers, outline how mid-term vacancies would be filled, and update notification and balloting processes for the election. Those changes were overwhelmingly approved, and new by-laws are available on the alumni website. Dr. Kayne thanked Harold Mancusi-Ungaro, M.D. ’73 who led the efforts to draft the changes.

Thank you to all who voted and congratulations to our new members!
