2016 Yale Alumni Fund Chairman’s Award Recipient - Lillian Oshva, M.D. ’96

November 09, 2016

Each year at the fall meeting, the Yale Alumni Fund Board of Directors recognizes a small group of university volunteers with the Chairman’s Award. The recipient is someone who exceeds volunteer responsibilities, takes initiative to create and implement innovative fundraising ideas, has a proven track record with fundraising and volunteer recruitment for Yale, and is proactive in communication with staff and other volunteers. We are pleased to announce that longtime School of Medicine volunteer, Lillian Oshva, M.D. ’96, was honored at the Yale Club of NYC as a recipient of the 2016 Chairman’s Award.

Dr. Oshva has served as class agent since her graduation and is currently secretary of the alumni association board and newly appointed Chair of the YSM Alumni Fund. She actively participates in Alumni Fund committee work and student engagement, and has recruited many new volunteers to these efforts. This spring she served as co-chair of her class’s 20th reunion, and along with many motivated classmates, organized an event which broke attendance records for the medical school and helped raise funds in honor of a deceased classmate.

Dr. Oshva is one of our most enthusiastic and motivating volunteers. On behalf of the AYAM, we extend our sincerest congratulations to Lillian on this honor for her outstanding volunteer work for Yale School of Medicine and the Alumni Fund.
