TEDxYale 2013 Annual Conference: "Solve for Y"

TEDxYale is hosting our annual conference, a full day of TED Talks. This year's theme, Solve for y, challenges our speakers to do two things: 1) explain their unique 'y,' the key ingredient to their passion, belief, and/or idea, and 2) explain "why" it's significant. This "y" variable also notes their common ground: Yale affiliation. Students, alumni, professors and faculty members will come together to share a unique story about something they're passionate about. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the Yale community in a personal and inspirational way. Some of the speakers include Ronan Farrow (Woody Allen's son and child prodigy, graduated from Yale Law at age 19), Roz Savage (solo rower, rowed across Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian Oceans alone), Clemantine Wamariya (student and survivor of Rwandan genocide), and Sam Spaulding (student and competitor in Jeopardy, about to compete in Who Wants To Be A Millionaire). Student performance groups will also be there, including Shades, Duke's Men, Yale Dancers, and Teeth. You can read more about our speakers and buy tickets at www.tedxyale.com.
