For over 40 years, Dr. Richard F. Mollica ‘79 M.A.R. has pioneered the field of refugee trauma. In 1981, he opened one of the first clinics in the country for survivors of mass violence and torture.

Dr. Moffic has been named the twelfth recipient of the Abraham L. Halpern, MD Humanitarian Award of the American Association for Social Psychiatry. He will pre at the 2024 Humanitarian Forum on Monday, May 6th in New York during the 2024 Annual Meeting of the American Psychiatric Association.

Dr. Gold, a nationally recognized expert on student mental health and wellness, started as the inaugural chief wellness officer for the University of Tennessee (UT) System and associate professor of psychiatry at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) on Feb. 1, 2024.

After four decades of clinical and academic cardiology, Dr. Wesley has authored his first novel, The Well, the paradox of a scientific discovery resulting in either "A Fountain of Life, or A Pool of Death." He currently works part-time at the Las Vegas VA Medical Center.

On October 25, Yale School of Medicine honored Dr. Yan Fuqing, the first Asian to graduate YSM, in the Class of 1909. Donated by members of his family, and Xiangya Hospital, which Dr. Yan helped to build, the bust serves as a testament to his tireless work as a medical practitioner, public health advocate, and civil servant.
