Biography

Dr. Juan Young is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry. He is a graduate of the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay College of Medicine. After graduating from medical school, he participated in geriatric research at the Nathan Kline Institute in Orangeburg, NY. He completed his general psychiatry training in the Case Western Reserve University MetroHealth Psychiatry Residency Program and his geriatric psychiatry training at the Yale School of Medicine Geriatric Psychiatry Fellowship. He is a recent graduate of the Yale Clinical Epidemiology and Aging Related Research Program in Geriatrics. His current research interests include neuroinflammation and inflammaging as they relate to the pathological and neuropsychiatric phenotypes of age-related neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease.
