Role at Yale

Dorothy loves working at Yale School of Medicine. Her career began as a temporary senior administrative assistant working in the Department of Psychiatry for Richard Belitsky, MD who was the Deputy Chair at that time. Since then she rounded out her experience in medical education as the Clerkship Coordinator in the Department of Ob/Gyn and the Residency Coordinator in the Department of Psychiatry. In 2007 her career came full circle working once again with Richard Belitsky as his Executive Assistant in his role as Deputy Dean for Education. Her new role, effective 2012, as Manager of the YSM Teaching and Learning Center (TLC) is very rewarding, full of wonderful challenges and fun.

When her daughter left the nest, Dorothy moved to a condominium in Branford which she shares with her Bichon Frise, Benny, and two cats, Niko and Mr. Tim. She has three grown children, Chad, Curtis and Kathryn of whom she is very proud. Dorothy relaxes by cooking, reading and spending time at the beach. She enjoys music, especially opera, and walking with Benny.
