Julie Rosenbaum, MD, is an internist and general practice physician. She considers primary care the most exciting medical specialty because it allows her to see treat patients for everything from common ailments to rare diseases. “Most importantly, I can really get to know my patients over time, and learn how to best work with them to keep them healthy and well,” she says.
At Saint Raphael’s Adult Primary Care, Dr. Rosenbaum says, “our team wants to get to know each of our patients for the people that they truly are, as this is what allows you to provide the best possible care.” Dr. Rosenbaum especially enjoys getting to know patients well. “I have learned so much about life, experience, and resilience from the patients I have served,” she says. “It has been a true honor.”
An associate professor of medicine (general medicine) at Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Rosenbaum is also a medical ethicist. She writes about and educates trainees on various topics in medical ethics, health policy, and advocacy.
