Opportunities for Yale Residents

Post exam group picture with visiting faculty and Tanzanian IR trainees following graduation of the second class of IR fellows in Tanzania in August 2022.

The Yale Radiology Global Outreach Program provides local and international opportunities for trainees and faculty in the Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging at the Yale School of Medicine to help address the acute global shortage of well-trained radiologists.

We are proud of our Tanzania Away Elective, which fully sponsors up to two senior Yale radiology residents to spend two weeks in Tanzania, actively supporting the training program at MNH and MUHAS.

The Yale Radiology Global Outreach Program actively participates in the thriving global health community at Yale University, where many global health initiatives are ongoing and well-entrenched at the Yale School of Medicine, Yale School of Public Health, Yale School of Nursing and Yale School of Management. We look forward to continued collaborations and nurturing the participation of radiologists to address the acute global shortage of well-trained diagnostic and interventional radiologists.
