Brain Imaging Study of Affect and Learning

What is the purpose of this trial?

This is a two-part study taking place on two consecutive days, exploring how healthy brains process affect and learning. The first part of the study is a 3hr fMRI scan, and the second part is a 1hr behavioral session, both taking place at Brainworks (100 College St., New Haven, CT).

During these sessions, you may undergo a mild or moderate stressor, and we will be collecting saliva samples to measure your body's stress responses at different points throughout the study.

We are looking for healthy volunteers between 18-45 years old who are fluent in English.

Volunteers will be compensated $25 per hour for fMRI sessions and $15 per hour for behavioral sessions.
