Research Services

YCCI provides infrastructure, expertise and resources to enable investigators to conduct high-quality clinical and translational research. Our multidisciplinary teams are designed to streamline study start-up, ensure regulatory compliance and support investigators, staff, and trainees at every stage—from initial concept through study close-out. By centralizing key functions and offering coordinated guidance, we help investigators focus on advancing science and improving health outcomes. Services include:

  • Protocol activation and study management – Coordinated support for study planning, activation, and ongoing operations.
  • Regulatory and compliance guidance – Expertise in meeting federal, state, and institutional requirements, including clinical research billing compliance.
  • Resource coordination – Access to specialized facilities, tools, and institutional resources that strengthen study design and execution.
  • Letters of support and documentation – Assistance with CTSA letters and other materials to facilitate grant submissions and sponsor engagement.

Pilot Awards Program

YCCI’s Pilot Awards Program provides competitive funding to Yale faculty for new and innovative projects that have strong scientific merit and potential for future extramural support. The program helps investigators collect essential preliminary data, strengthen future grant proposals, and accelerate the translation of promising ideas into funded research.

Training for Research Professionals
