Robert S. Sherwin YCCI All Scholar Day

First launched by Dr. Robert “Bob” S. Sherwin, the inaugural director of the Yale Center for Clinical Investigation (YCCI), the Robert S. Sherwin YCCI All Scholar Day is a celebration of the center’s educational programs and the accomplishments of the trainees and scholars at all levels.
Now in its 19th year, YCCI has supported more than 214 junior faculty members. Ninety-nine percent of scholars remain engaged in research, continuing to successfully compete for independent grants (including 440 NIH grants) worth over $900 million and publishing approximately 9,800 papers.
The successes of the program are a reflection of Dr. Sherwin’s visionary leadership, tremendous dedication, and passion for training the next generation of clinical and translational researchers.
