Frances Bernier Matta

Frances Bernier Matta is an undergraduate student at Universidad de Puerto Rico Recinto de Mayaguez, studying Industrial Microbiology. Frances plays a role in different associations including the Students for the Exploration and Development of Space Research, Student Association of Industrial Biotechnology and Beta Beta Beta (Tribeta) Biology Honor Society Zeta Alpha Chapter UPRM. Frances has plans of pursuing a career in the medical field.
About My YCCI Internship
YCCI gave me the opportunity to meet and learn from brilliant professionals in many different fields of medicine. This had such a positive impact on me personally and my future goals. The knowledge I gained serves as a tool for my future path in medicine. Building research projects with my fellow interns helped me broaden my view on what research truly entails.
