Yale Center for Clinical Investigation Luncheon: "Understanding the PCORI Requirements"

The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) is authorized by Congress to conduct research to provide information about the best available evidence to help patients and their health care providers make more informed decisions. PCORI’s research is intended to give patients a better understanding of the prevention, treatment, and care options available, and the science that supports those options.  PCORI has approved 279 awards totaling more than $464.4 million to fund patient-centered research projects to date.

In preparation for the PCORI Spring 2014 Cycle, the Yale Center for Clinical Investigation (YCCI) is planning a panel discussion including Margaret Grey, DrPH, RN, FAAN, Dean and Annie W. Goodrich Professor at the Yale School of Nursing; Harlan Krumholz, MD, Professor of Medicine (Cardiology), Professor of Investigative Medicine and of Public Health (Health Policy), and a member of the PCORI Board of Governors; and two successful PCORI applicants, Chyrell Bellamy, MSW, PhD, Assistant Professor and Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry, and Maria O’Connell Bonarrigo, PhD, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry.
All investigators who are considering applying for a PCORI in the Spring 2014 funding cycle are invited to attend a YCCI Luncheon to Understand the PCORI Requirements to be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2014, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Cohen Auditorium, 230 South Frontage Road.  Please RSVP by contacting Theresa Katz at theresa.katz@yale.edu
