VA Connecticut Healthcare System's cancer program on preliminary list for Outstanding Achievement Award

March 03, 2015

The CoC (Commission on Cancer) announced the 76 cancer programs that made the list of the Preliminary 2014 Outstanding Achievement Award (OAA) recipients.

Established in 2004, the Commission on Cancer’s Outstanding Achievement Award is designed to recognize cancer programs that strive for excellence in demonstrating compliance with the CoC standards and are committed to ensuring high quality cancer care.

OAA recipients represent a multitude of health care facilities, including community-based facilities, academic hospitals, integrated networks, pediatric hospitals, and freestanding cancer centers.

Recipients are identified in a CoC Source announcement following the confirmation of the accreditation awards for all programs surveyed at the end of the calendar year.

The finalized 2014 OAA recipient list will be published online following the confirmation deadline (March 13, 2015).
