Application Process
The first step in applying to the Department of Urology must be accomplished by submitting through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).

• Three letters of recommendation (one of which should come from your Urology Department Chair or Section Head)
• Medical school transcript
• USMLE Step 1 score
The deadline for applications to be considered for review is October 1.
Our department has a team of urology faculty members who collaborate to screen 300+ applications each interview season. Final recommendations are provided to the Program Directors, Drs. Adam Hittelman and Piruz Motamedinia. Resident selection is based on a consensus of the urology faculty members.

• Satisfactory completion or anticipated completion of an accredited school of medicine in the United States or Canada
• Demonstrated commitment to a career in Urology through scholarly activities and participation in clinical urology activities
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, this year's applicants will be invited to participate in virtual interviews hosted by the department.
We accept three trainees per year.

• Academic performance in medical school, including a Dean's Letter, grades, awards, AOA membership, class rank if available and score from Part I of the Boards• Extracurricular activities and accomplishments
• Interview and interpersonal skills
• Personal statement
• Personal recommendation letters
• Satisfactory completion or anticipated completion of an accredited school of medicine in the United States or Canada
• Demonstrated commitment to a career in Urology through scholarly activities and participation in clinical urology activities
