On February 17 the results of a national Match were announced for psychology internships. Through this process the Department’s Doctoral Internship in Clinical and Community Psychology selected its incoming class of 17 Fellows who will spend a year training at Yale from July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018
"We had one of the largest and most qualified groups of applicants in the nation," said Michael Hoge, PhD, the department’s Director of Clinical Training in Psychology. "We were successful in attracting a very strong group of Fellows from among the 3,655 applicants participating in the match."
Dr. Rajita Sinha, Chief of Psychology for the department, praised the 80 faculty psychologists involved in this program for creating an exceptional and diverse internship training experience that is highly competitive.
Psychology Fellows apply to one of eleven training rotations based at the Connecticut Mental Health Center and Yale-New Haven Hospital. Students typically complete this clinical and research oriented internship as the final year of a five-year program of graduate study, which leads to a PhD or PsyD.
