Wages & Benefits
Salary for the 2024-2025 internship year will be at least $38,400. There also is an option to purchase coverage through a number of alternative private health insurance plans at an additional charge. Four weeks of paid leave is also provided.
Note: This website is intended to serve as a guidance document, however, policies regarding benefits can and do change. The program makes every effort to update these materials in accordance with Yale University and relevant institutional policy.
All fellows are required to have health insurance. Yale University provides medical coverage to trainees through the Yale Health Plan (https://yalehealth.yale.edu/). Fellows are assessed a monthly contribution from their salary according to the plan they select (i.e., single, single + child(ren); single + spouse; family). While many fellows enroll in this plan, trainees may also select a Yale sponsored private health plan at an additional cost (unless they are a current graduate student in the Yale Department of Psychology). Current costs for health insurance plans are available for review here.
Fellows are considered Postdoctoral Associates within the Yale University Human Resources System and are afforded a range of benefits related to this designation. Prospective applicants are encouraged to review the available benefits here.
