Henry S. Park, MD, MPH

Dr. Henry S. Park, MD, MPH is professor, vice chair for clinical research, health services research, and faculty development, and chief of thoracic radiotherapy and PET-guided radiotherapy for the Department of Therapeutic Radiology at Yale School of Medicine. He is an assistant medical director of the cancer center’s clinical trials office, where he also serves as the leader of the radiation oncology committee and associate leader of the lung clinical research team. For the medical school, he serves as an assistant dean for admissions and the inaugural head of Horstmann House, one of the six advisory houses for medical and physician associate students.

After graduating from Yale College, Yale School of Medicine, and Harvard School of Public Health, Dr. Park completed his internship in internal medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center at Harvard Medical School and his residency and chief residency in radiation oncology at Yale New Haven Hospital. He is now a practicing thoracic radiation oncologist and NIH-funded investigator leading a wide-ranging research program involving clinical trials, novel radiotherapy technology, real-world evidence, and healthcare access. He has co-authored over 220 peer-reviewed original research articles, reviews, book chapters, invited editorials, and practice guidelines. He is an oral and written boards examiner for the American Board of Radiology, serves as an associate editor for Advances in Radiation Oncology and American Journal of Clinical Oncology, and holds leadership positions in American Radium Society, SWOG Cancer Research Network, and the Korean American Society for Radiation Oncology. He has been honored with multiple awards for his contributions to patient care, research, medical education, and journal peer review.

In his spare time, Dr. Park enjoys classical music (having trained as a violist at Juilliard Pre-College), sports, and quality time with his wife, two children, and dog.
