Biography
Dr. Henry S. Park, MD, MPH is professor, vice chair for clinical research, health services research, and faculty development, and chief of thoracic radiotherapy and PET-guided radiotherapy for the Department of Therapeutic Radiology at Yale School of Medicine. For the medical school, he serves as an assistant dean for admissions and the inaugural head of Horstmann House, one of the six advisory houses for medical and physician associate students. At the Yale Cancer Center, he is assistant medical director, leader of the radiation oncology committee, and associate leader of the lung clinical research team for the Clinical Trials Office.
A graduate of Yale College, Yale School of Medicine, Harvard School of Public Health, Dr. Park underwent his internal medicine internship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center at Harvard Medical School and his radiation oncology residency and chief residency at Yale New Haven Hospital. He is an actively practicing thoracic radiation oncologist and NIH-funded investigator leading a wide-ranging research program in clinical trials, novel radiotherapy technology, real-world evidence, and healthcare access. He has co-authored over 200 peer-reviewed original research articles, reviews, book chapters, invited editorials, and practice guidelines. He has been honored with multiple awards for his contributions to patient care, research, medical education, and journal peer review.
In his spare time, Dr. Park enjoys classical music, sports, and quality time with his wife, two children, and dog.
