Biography
Akash has an interest in neurocritical care and has studied novel biomarkers in strokes patients with cryptogenic etiology and testing of skin microvascular reactivity to as an identification tool for high-risk stroke patients. Akash has also written review articles on the diagnosis and management of acute neuromuscular respiratory weakness in an intensive care setting, as well as detailing several unique cases, including management of ischemic strokes in the setting of myocardial infarctions, triple-valve endocarditis, and GI pathology of neurosarcoidosis. Akash enjoys teaching, and spends time tutoring undergraduate and medical students. He also enjoys weight lifting, DJing, and performing stand-up comedy.
