Hualiang Pi, Ph.D. will open her lab as an assistant professor in the Department of Microbial Pathogenesis at Yale School of Medicine and the Yale Microbial Sciences Institute in September, 2023. Having completed her Ph.D. in Microbiology at Cornell University and postdoctoral training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Dr. Pi examines the molecular mechanisms that microbes such as Bacillus anthracis and Clostridioides difficile use to sense and adapt to changing environments. The Pi lab aims to reveal host and bacterial factors that contribute to infection and identify new targets for antimicrobial therapeutics. Please also view a complete list of Dr. Pi’s publications.
