The AlagsLab approach to diversity models the lab’s interdisciplinary and integrative approach to research. Our diversity philosophy is that inclusion of the research contributions of all individuals that reflect our society, including people with different backgrounds, race, cultural beliefs, physical condition, age, gender, and sexual orientation is necessary for innovative and rigorous research that benefits all people. Diversity efforts in this lab start from equitable treatment and quality of the wellbeing of members so that they can have their best research contributions and training experience. The lab purposefully strives to achieve an inclusive and welcoming environment by showing support and respect for one another that is blind to race, physical condition, sexual orientation, gender, and cultural beliefs.
